Knowing when to make quick decisions…

Mine are not that way right now. I am not quick. I am contemplating. I let opportunity pass me by again and again. I wave at it as it departs… “Bye-bye once in a lifetime.”

Of course there is pressure to move faster, to do more. I sat across from a colleague months back as he pounded out his advice which was simply, “You need to put your focus on creating new business. How can you expand your network to secure future business and new clients?”

I didn’t expect him to offer his personal suggestion as to HOW? OR WHY? Instead I processed his suggestion as, “Whatever you need to do you should do it and do it now. What are you going to do?”

Then.. I did nothing further.
