My guy friend writes about my break-up:

I can’t believe I’m saying this but give it some time, sometimes when we get to close to someone we get scared, I know I do and then I push them away because I don’t want to get hurt, I know that’s selfish but that’s my defense mechanize it seems easier in life to never have to fear that the one you love will stop loving you or worse start loving someone else. You can love someone with all your heart but if they don’t give you at least 50% of what your giving them believe me your better off. Sorry for nagging you with my philosophies on love but either 100% love or nothing.
