Kayla is four months old in this picture. Babies at this age love to express themselves through smiles, laughs, gurgles, and coos. That is my focus as a photographer. I love to capture all the budding expressions and personality.

It can be a bit tricky to pose babies this age, but by now, your baby’s head should no longer be wobbly. Four-month-olds have pretty good head control while sitting supported, and they can hold their head and chest upright while lying on their stomach during tummy time. This is why we recommend a session at four months instead of three months. What a difference a month makes! They also can kick and push with their feet. Some babies have even figured out how to roll from tummy to back at this point.

We recommend a photo shoot at four months of age because it’s a milestone for development. Come see us again when your baby is six months. You will know why each stage is so precious and you will be grateful that you chose to capture it all.
